Gay Marriage Amendment Fails in Senate

[WASHINGTON DC] The Senate handed President George W. Bush a humiliating defeat Wednesday by rejecting a bid to amend the US Constitution to ban gay marriage.

But, the issue may not be entirely dead. The House is moving towards a fall vote on its own version of an amendment.
