Quest is a transgender advocacy pageant that encourages the development and advancement of transgender women. What makes this pageant truly special is that the transgender women contestants, represent community-based organizations helping transgenders.
QuestTM Goals:
* Empower the male-to-female transgender (MTF TG) community with information on HIV transmission and prevention.
* Provide positive role models and a sense of community to counteract the stigma that leads to low self-esteem and high-risk behaviors among this population.
* Train MTF TG advocates and role models on issues of HIV
* Disseminate information regarding APAIT services into the community.

QuestTM Facts
# Every year multi-ethnic transgender women from across the country apply to be delegates with QuestTM.
# Delegates undergo a multi-step process, including training and mentorship by an AIDS service organization or community based organization with a transgender program.
# The most outstanding representatives of the community are chosen to participate in QuestTM.
# Delegates are interviewed during QuestTM Day 1, to provide them a chance to demonstrate their intellect and heart and to advocate for the TG community with the judges, many of whom are key decision makers in the field of HIV/AIDS and TG issues.
# QuestTM Day 2 is the culminating event, the beauty pageant, during which 500 members of the TG and allied communities and the general public come together in support.
